11:56 pm
I finally saw Harry Potter. It was okay. Didn't do justice to the book. And my friend who hasn't read the books said he couldn't really follow the story. And my other friend and me, who have read read the book twice, were missing some major things (harry wasn't paralized when Dumbledore died! He would have done something if he could!) and seeing some very curious additions (why why why burn down the weasley's house?!) Oh well, at least I had a nice night out with my friends :)

I really got into Everybody Loves Raymond. That show is hilarious! Lol, I keep buying season after season on dvd. Today I actually bought season 5, only to find out I already have season 5! Oops, I thought I had only gotten to 4 yet! Haha, so I'll be returning that.

Someone is finally picking up my old couch tomorrow! (hopefully!) I put it on Ebay for free twice, but couldn't get rid of it. Now I put it on again, saying I'll take any offer, and someone offered 40 euros! Hehe, just have to wait and see if he actually takes it once he sees it tomorrow.

The wasps are finally gone for good! Remember last year they were in my apartment? (Yikes!!) They couldn't do anything about it then, and they were gone in a couple of weeks, cause it was the end of the summer already. Now at the start of this summer I noticed them again on my balcony, and I saw a little crack in the wall where they were flying in and out. So I called a guy and he came (looking like a Ghost Buster!) and sprayed something, and they are gone! Forgood! (I hope!)

I used to have pet fish as a kid, and I always thought I never named them, then just the other day my mom told me I named them Anna and Onno. Cause I loved palindromes! I had totally forgotten until mom told me! Lmao, I'm such a geek!

Speaking of fish, look what I painted :)

10:37 pm - If you're going to San Francisco...
I had such an annoying day at work today. Nothing worked the way I wanted it, people kept bugging me, and I didn't get any of the work I had planned done. So I decided after work... to go straight to the travel agency and book myself a vacation! :D

So..... september 10th, I am flying to Los Angeles, and in the next 13 days I make a tour through San Francisco, Las Vegas, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Phoenix, back to LA! I'm really looking forward to it!

Too bad I have to wait another 4 months! :'(
But in the weekend of June 12th, I'm going on a little holiday here in Holland, for a 4 day Creative Writing course :)

Oh I bought myself a mini-laptop (with the upcoming vacations in mind:)) It's very cute, it's a HP Dot, 8.9 inch screen, so it's really small and light, but it works just as great as my other big heavy laptop.

Hmm did I even tell you I had surgery on my wrist again? I guess not! Anyway, it's been about a month now. The sugeon says they took out all the tissue that was infected, and everything else looked fine, so I should not have any problems any more... I'm just patiently waiting. He said it can take up to 3 months to completely recover from surgery. So far it doesn't feel better then before the surgery, but not worse either... I'll just wait and see huh?

Hiyas! Remember me? So apparently I need a 3-day-weekend to finally find time to update my lj :) Hehe, or maybe I just have nothing to say. Oh well!

So I just spend my entire day on youtube.... lol, I can get so totally lost in there. You know what I love? Crossovers of caracters from my fav tv shows. Like I saw a clip of Lisa Kudrow as a guest on Megan Mullally's talkshow! Was very cool! And... I just found out there is a movie with Matthew Perry AND Lauren Graham in the lead!! I can't wait to see it, Birds of America, but it's not out on dvd here yet :(
Then to finish of this productive day, I watched Clueless :p It was even lamer than I remembered.... I loved it!

Last thursday my mom & I went to see The Nylons, I had never heard of them, but they've been performing for like 25 years! They're 4 Canadian singers, they're really good! And then on friday I went to see Footloose the musical with my sister and cousin. That was great too! And fun to hang out with my cousin :)

Oh last weekend we had a big family party to celebrate my parents' 30 year wedding anniversary, my dad's 60th birthday, and my grandma's 97th bday. It was a lot of fun. And my little cousins were being adorable as usual, I mean, look at them:

So my drawing / painting / watercolor course is already finished... I loved the drawing and painting, and hated the watercoloring! lol! I'm definitely not suited for that. I just kept making this big messy spots on the paper.. yuk! I might take another course in painting or drawing some day, I enjoyed it! Not right now though!

The writing course will also finish next week, but I'm gonna go on with part 2 of the course. I'm really enjoying it, trying new things and learning writing techniques. So that's gonna go on till the summer.

And after the summer.... I'm gonna play handball again! I've quit for one season now. But they're gonna start a new team. It's mostly girls from my old team, who wanna take it a bit more relaxed. We'll practice just once a week (used to be twice or even three times), and a game on sunday. That's exactly what I wanted, so I'm looking forward to it! I've missed playing! I'm getting another surgery on my wrist in May, so hopefully I can play pain-free again finally after the summer!

05:54 pm
- It's snowing! Everything looks gorgeous! Especially if you don't have to go out all day ;)

- I bought myself a car! It's a silver Renault Clio. Yes my old car was a Clio too, but this one's prettier :D Now the old car was never mine, I was just borrowing it from my parents, so I gave it back! My parents were happy to chip in for my new car, cause they wanted the old car hehe! Now they each have a car, so my dad can go to his work by car.

- My house is finally completely wasp-free. After I got back from Italy my dad & sister had taken care of the main plague *shudders*. I just found the lonely wasp every couple of days. The wasp season is long over, so they are not active, won't sting. I could easily flatten them and throw them away. So now I haven't seen any for over a week. Pfew!

- I just finally let my old handball club know that I wanna quit doing the member's administration. I'm hating it more everyday, it takes up all my time and basically I never get a thank you, and always get crap from both members and other people trying to keep this club running. I've completely had it! So, they better find someone else to do it soon!

- I'm loving the writing course. I get along very well with my 'classmates'. I feel much more comfortable already, which of course is important when you share your writing. The assigments are very diverse, and it's a lot of fun to try so many different things. It's all in dutch, so I can't share anything with you.
Oh and of course NaNo, I'm aiming for 25000 words by november 30th. Looks like my story will be wrapped up by 25000 words anyway, so that seems a good goal.

Current Mood: relievedrelieved

So Italy is gorgeous! The whole vacation was great. It was a great group. They were all much older then me, but I don't care at all. Oh and there was one 17 year old kid, with his grandparents lol! Anyway, I loved Venice, it's so beautiful!

I'm going soooo slow with NaNo. Oh well, at least I'm doing it! I don't need to get to 50000 words, just need to get some kind of story down on paper!
